Ownova ("we", "us") is an AI automation agency based in Lahore, Pakistan. We are the data controller for personal data processed through this website (ownova.org) and its subdomains, including tools.ownova.org.

We deliberately collect as little as possible:

• No cookies, no trackers. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising, or fingerprinting scripts.
• Contact details you choose to send. The contact form opens your own email app — nothing you type is stored or transmitted by this website. If you email, call, or WhatsApp us, we receive the details you provide (name, email address, phone number, message content).
• Hosting logs. Our hosting provider (Amazon Web Services) automatically records basic technical logs (IP address, request time, pages requested) for security and reliability. These are kept short-term and are not used to identify or profile visitors.
• Free tools (tools.ownova.org). Our image and file tools run entirely in your browser. Files you process are never uploaded to us. On first use, the background-removal tool downloads an AI model file from a content-delivery network (CDN); the CDN sees a standard web request (your IP address) but none of your files or their contents.

• Responding to your inquiries — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and steps prior to entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
• Providing services to clients — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
• Security and reliability of the website (hosting logs) — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle your inquiry or the client relationship, then deleted. Hosting logs are retained by AWS for a short rolling window. We do not build marketing databases from visitor data.

We do not sell or rent personal data. Data is shared only with the service providers needed to run this website and communicate with you:

• Amazon Web Services (hosting and content delivery),
• Google (email via Gmail when you email us),
• Meta / WhatsApp (only if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp).

These providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where GDPR applies, transfers rely on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision (e.g. the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for certified US providers).

If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15),
• have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16),
• have your data erased ("right to be forgotten", Art. 17),
• restrict processing (Art. 18),
• receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20),
• object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21),
• withdraw any consent at any time, without affecting prior processing (Art. 7(3)).

To exercise any of these rights, email ownova.org@gmail.com. We respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

The free tools at tools.ownova.org may display advertising (for example via Google AdSense) to keep the tools free. When advertising is active:

• the ad provider and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads;
• visitors in the EU/EEA and UK are shown a consent banner first, and personalised ads are only served with consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — declining still shows the tools, with non-personalised or no ads;
• Google's use of advertising cookies is described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads, and personalised ads can be controlled at adssettings.google.com.

The main website (ownova.org) remains free of advertising, cookies, and trackers. Your files processed by the tools are never shared with ad providers — they never leave your device.

Our services are aimed at businesses and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy as the website evolves. The date at the top shows the latest revision; material changes will be highlighted on this page.
