What we collect, and what we don't

The contact form.When you book an audit we receive the details you type in: your name, email address, company, team size, the service you're interested in, your message and how you'd like to be called. These are sent to us as an email. They aren't saved in a database on the site.

Emails you send us. If you write to an @ownova.org address, we receive your message, your email address and anything you attach.

Technical data.Like any website, our hosting provider handles your IP address and browser details in order to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. The contact form also checks your IP address to limit repeated submissions. That check happens in memory and the address isn't stored.

No cookies, no analytics, no advertising or tracking pixels, and no fingerprinting. Our fonts are served from our own domain, so loading a page doesn't send your details to a font provider either.

The tools on our free tools page run entirely in your browser. Files you open with them are never uploaded to us. The background remover is hosted separately at tools.ownova.org, which has its own privacy policy.

We use what you send to reply to you, to prepare an audit or proposal you've asked for, and to keep a record of our conversation. We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't add you to a mailing list.

Amazon Web Services hosts the site, sends contact-form submissions to us, and receives and stores email sent to our addresses.

Google provides the Gmail inboxes where we read and answer those messages.

Both may process data outside your country. We don't share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.

We keep messages for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and to keep reasonable business records. You can ask us to delete your messages and details at any time, and we will, unless we're legally required to keep something.

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email privacy@ownova.org and we'll reply within 30 days. If you're not happy with our answer, you can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

The whole site is served over HTTPS, the contact form sends directly to us without a third-party form service, and access to our hosting and email systems is limited to the people who need it.

This site is meant for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
